The Arlington Community Foundation was established to provide an opportunity for people to enhance and promote the quality of life in the Arlington Community.
The Foundation acts through the development or enhancement of existing or potential resources in Arlington and the surrounding area. Our funding comes primarily from contributions to this annual drive, and from bequests and memorials. We ask that you remember us this year as you plan your charitable giving.
We did reach our goal in 2017 in creating an Endowment Fund and creating it in 2022. An endowment fund is an investment fund established by a foundation that makes consistent withdrawals from invested capital. The capital in endowment funds are used by foundations and are generally utilized for specific needs or projects within the community.
A contribution to an endowment fund can consist of cash or assets, such as your house, other real estate, personal property, checking and savings accounts, CDs, investments, life insurance, and vehicles.
The earnings from an endowment fund will help the Arlington Community Foundation to provide opportunities for many years to come. Please consult your financial planner, accountant, or lawyer about leaving a lasting gift to the Arlington Community Foundation. Our goal is to raise $100,000 for the Endowment Fund.
With your help, we hope to continue our work in making Arlington a little bit better, one step at a time. We ask for your continued support, and invite you to attend the annual Spring Concert, which will be held in April at the Arlington High School, during which time we will present the monetary awards.
